Dr. Dmytro Zhurakovskyy, known to patients as Dr. Z, spent over a decade practicing on Park Avenue in Manhattan, caring for patients at every stage, from a single worn tooth to a complete transformation.
Through all those years, home has been right here. Dr. Z and his family have long been part of this community, and caring for it means a great deal to him.
Smile design is where his passion lives. He studies how each smile works with the face, the lips, and the personality behind it, then shapes the proportion, contour, and shade of every tooth so the result looks naturally beautiful and unmistakably yours.
Because Dr. Z is trained in both the surgical and aesthetic sides of dentistry, from implant placement and bone grafting to the final veneers and crowns, your care stays under one roof and follows one vision from the first step to the last.
A summa cum laude graduate of Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine with a hospital residency at the Bronx VA Medical Center, he practices alongside Dr. Gregory Mills and Dr. Gary Scher, the doctors so many local families have trusted for years.

Do you offer dental cleanings and checkups?
Yes. Dental cleanings, checkups, and preventive care are a core part of our practice, because healthy teeth and gums are the foundation of every beautiful smile. Your hygienist takes time with a thorough, gentle cleaning, and your dentist reviews your overall oral health at every checkup.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we welcome new patients. Your first visit includes a comprehensive smile assessment, a thorough dental cleaning, and digital imaging. Plan on about an hour and a half of dedicated time.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
Yes, you can use your dental insurance with us. Smile Theory is an independent, out-of-network practice, and most PPO plans include out-of-network benefits. Our team submits your claims for you and can send a complimentary pre-treatment estimate. Not sure what your plan includes? Please reach out.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We offer flexible monthly payments through Cherry, including 0% APR options for qualified patients, and applying does not require a hard credit check. We also accept CareCredit.
I get nervous at the dentist. How do you help?
You are in good company. We take things at your pace, explain each step before we begin, and check in with you along the way. For many treatments, our dental lasers allow care with fewer needles.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
Call our team at (732) 591-1550 as soon as you can. If you are in pain or have a broken tooth, we will do our best to see you quickly and get you comfortable.

Yes. Smile design and veneers are a signature part of our practice. Dr. Z has spent more than a decade designing smiles, including his years on Park Avenue, and he approaches every case with meticulous precision, from the shape and proportion of each tooth to the shade that suits your complexion. Whether you want a subtle refinement or a complete makeover, your plan is built around your face and the look you have in mind. Smile assessments for cosmetic treatment are complimentary.
