NIGHTLASE
SNORING
TREATMENT
MORGANVILLE, NJ
Quieter Nights, More Rested Mornings.
No surgery. No mouthguard. No machine to wear at night.
Snoring affects more than your sleep. It can leave you tired during the day, affect your focus and mood, and disrupt the rest of the person beside you. NightLase is a gentle, non invasive laser treatment that reduces snoring by tightening the soft tissue at the back of the mouth and throat.
At Smile Theory in Morganville, NJ, NightLase is performed with the Fotona LightWalker, giving patients from Marlboro and throughout Monmouth County a comfortable, needle free path to quieter, more restful nights.

How NightLase Works
NightLase uses gentle Er:YAG laser energy to warm the tissue of the soft palate and throat. This stimulates collagen, which firms and tightens the tissue so the airway stays more open while you sleep and snoring is reduced.
The laser never cuts the tissue, so there are no stitches, no bleeding and little to no recovery time. Most patients describe only a mild warming sensation during treatment.

WHO IT IS FOR
Is NightLase Right for You?
NightLase is best suited for adults who snore and, with your physician’s guidance, some patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea. It can also be a helpful alternative for those who have struggled with oral appliances or CPAP. Factors like weight, alcohol and smoking can affect results.
It is especially helpful for patients who want results without surgery, without wearing a device every night, and without time away from work or family.
Snoring can sometimes be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea. When sleep apnea is a concern, we coordinate your care with your physician or a sleep specialist so you receive an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment.
Many patients notice quieter nights within a few weeks. Results commonly last up to about a year, and periodic touch up sessions help maintain them.

Don't see your question below? Give us a call or stop by. We are happy to talk it through with you.

Does NightLase hurt?
Most patients feel only a gentle warming sensation. There are no needles, no anesthesia and no cutting, so you can return to your normal routine right after each session.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients complete three short sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Your plan is tailored to your anatomy, your goals and how your tissue responds.
How quickly will I notice a difference?
Many patients and their partners notice quieter sleep within a few weeks, with improvement continuing as the tissue firms over the course of treatment.
How long do results last?
Results commonly last up to about a year. Periodic touch up sessions help maintain a quieter night’s sleep over time.
Is NightLase safe?
Yes. NightLase is performed with the Fotona LightWalker, a well studied dual wavelength laser system. The laser gently warms the tissue without cutting it, and you wear protective eyewear during treatment. Any side effects, such as a mild sore throat, are usually temporary.
Does NightLase treat sleep apnea?
NightLase is designed to reduce snoring. Because snoring can be a sign of obstructive sleep apnea, we coordinate with your physician or a sleep specialist whenever apnea is suspected so you receive an accurate diagnosis and the right care.
Can I stop using my CPAP or mouthguard?
Please talk with your physician before stopping a prescribed CPAP or oral appliance. NightLase can be a helpful option for patients who struggle with these devices, and we will work alongside your physician to plan your care.
Is NightLase covered by insurance?
NightLase is typically considered an elective treatment, so coverage varies by plan. Our team will gladly review your benefits with you, and flexible monthly options, including 0% APR plans through Cherry, are available.
